LEArning-Driven and Evolved Radio for 6G Communication Systems

 

Description

6G-LEADER is set to revolutionize the Physical Layer (PHY) and Radio Access Network (RAN) of 6th-generation communication networks. The project focuses on key innovations that will redefine connectivity.

These include machine learning-powered PHY algorithms with predictive capabilities for autonomous operation and full-duplex transceivers that leverage sparse antenna arrays alongside advanced digital self-interference cancellation techniques.

It also explores non-orthogonal and random multiple access schemes to meet the growing demand for massive connectivity, introduces goal-oriented semantic communications for more efficient and meaningful data exchange, and develops an open and disaggregated RAN architecture featuring xApps that integrate the project’s advancements.
