The Story
When many organizations adopt distributed applications across cloud and edge infrastructures, they face a dual challenge: managing highly dynamic resources while ensuring efficiency and reliability. The ENACT project addresses this by creating a Cognitive Computing Continuum that integrates AI-driven orchestration, dynamic graph models, and zero-touch deployment across heterogeneous infrastructures.
By providing a unified, intelligent stack of tools and frameworks, ENACT simplifies the management of hyper-distributed applications, enabling organizations to scale efficiently, reduce operational costs, and maintain robust, trustworthy performance. This is a pivotal transformation for industries and sectors seeking to deploy advanced applications across cloud and edge environments while preserving adaptability, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Project Overview
6G-LEADER advances the Physical Layer (PHY) and Radio Access Network (RAN) of future 6G communication systems by introducing intelligent, autonomous, and open network technologies. The project develops machine-learning empowered PHY algorithms with predictive capabilities, enabling adaptive and self-optimizing radio performance. It integrates full-duplex transceivers with advanced digital self-interference cancellation and novel non-orthogonal and random multiple access schemes to address massive connectivity demands.
By combining these innovations with goal-oriented semantic communications and an open, disaggregated RAN architecture implemented through xApps, 6G-LEADER establishes a flexible and scalable foundation for intelligent 6G networks. The project bridges advanced radio research with deployable open RAN solutions, supporting the evolution toward autonomous, high-capacity, and efficient wireless systems.
