Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU)
The SNS JU was established in 2021 under EU regulation to drive the next generation of network infrastructure in Europe. It brings together public and private sectors, pooling resources to foster research, development and deployment of advanced connectivity on a European scale.
- It aims to support Europe’s technological sovereignty by aligning with the EU Digital Strategy and connectivity goals, accelerating the deployment of 5G/6G networks and services across member states.
- Through its funding model, the SNS JU mobilises roughly €900 million from the EU and an equivalent amount from industry (2021-2027), enabling the launch of research & innovation calls, projects, and partnerships that bring next-generation networks into reality.

AI, Data and Robotics Association (ADRA)
The Adra Association was established in 2021 as the private‐side organisation of the European Partnership on AI, Data and Robotics, bringing together industry, research and the public sector to accelerate next-generation innovation across Europe.
- It aims to bolster Europe’s technological sovereignty by aligning with the EU Digital Strategy and the broader goals of the EU’s ADR (AI, Data & Robotics) ecosystem, driving the development, acceptance and deployment of trustworthy, safe and robust AI, data and robotics technologies in line with European values.
- Through its membership and ecosystem approach, Adra mobilises a large-scale collaborative network of stakeholders (180+ member organisations active across Europe) to pool expertise, coordinate strategic research & innovation agendas, and unlock funding, partnerships and public-private activities in the 2021–2030 horizon.

NetworldEurope ETP
The NetworldEurope ETP was established as the European Technology Platform for communications networks and services, serving as the successor to NetWorld2020 and adapting to the evolving landscape of the Horizon Europe framework.
- It aims to strengthen Europe’s digital and technological sovereignty by aligning with EU digital policy objectives and advancing next-generation communication networks, including 5G/6G, satellite, fixed and wireless systems, thereby laying the foundation for a secure, reliable, and deeply integrated digital society.
- Through its multi-stakeholder membership of industry leaders, innovative SMEs and top academic institutions, NetworldEurope mobilises a pan-European community of nearly 1 000 organisations to co-create a Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA), coordinate research and innovation agendas, and accelerate the deployment of cutting-edge network systems across sectors and borders.
